• Arts Instructor. (Part-time) Old Dominion University. Norfolk, VA (January 2011 – Present). Total of 3 Courses: Drawing As Illustration: Teach various drawings methods and methods of Illustration as well as its history and origin. Investigate various dry and wet media in the purpose of creating imagery conveying message or narrative, Fundamentals of Digital Art:  Teach computer graphics/design, illustration, production and digital media via the Macintosh computer platform.  Software covered:  Adobe Illustrator CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe InDesign CS5, and video editing with iMovie. Drawing Composition: Teach strengths in composition and mastering drawing techniques with two-dimensional work.  Instruct students on the various forms of compositional structure, a variety of wet and dry medium, and drawing as a series of problem solving situations.

• Freelance Graphic Artist. The Collective Artistry. Virginia Beach, VA (November 2010 – Present).  Freelancing has been an integral part of my professional experience. Design print and web marketing content (logos, business cards, flyers, banners, wedding invitations, album covers, brochures, apparel design, and other marketing paraphernalia) for clients nationwide. Brainstorm and mock up design ideas, present ideas to clients, meet with clients and adjust designs to fit needs or taste, project budgets and schedule, and use computer software to execute designs by specified deadline. Review graphic materials to be presented and ensure information is presented in an eye-catching, yet organized manner.

  • Selected from the company’s team of designers to design college prep binder and pamphlet (educational resource materials) for the Access College Foundation (a non‐profit organization designed to assist students attending the 29 public high schools in the South Hampton Roads area in furthering their education beyond high school) as part of the Azzure Denim, Indigo Red, Shmack Clothing, Imperial Junkie, RBC Centura Bank, and COX Cable, community service project.
